Non functional requirements
Non functional requirements mean how the product or system is supposed to be in terms of safety, security, usability and many more. They are very useful to make the product attractive or usable. They are used to enhance the quality of the product. These requirements should be properly overlooked or valued otherwise it may lead to failure.
Look and feel requirements
Look and feel requirements describe the intended spirit, the mood, the style of the product’s appearance. These requirements specify the intention of the appearance, and are not a detailed design of an interface.
For example, Fibe TV should meet the designing standards.
For this, it is not saying about any technical design nor there is something like its material or specifications. Overall, the statement just says whatever the designing requirements are the Fibe TV should develop some characteristics to meet them.
The look and feel includes the following characteristics:
Simple to use Attractive
Approachable Consistent
Professional looking Innovative
Authoritative Exciting
Non-Functional Requirements
ReplyDeleteThey specify the quality of the product and features of the product like - how it is useful, how fast or reliable it is. Non-functional requirements are the significant part of the specification.
Checklist of non-functional requirements
1. Security
2. Audit
3. Performance
4. Capacity
5. Availability
6. Reliability
7. Integrity
Non-Functional Requirements
ReplyDeleteIt is not straight forward requirement of the system. It is related to usability such as "requirement for a hard hat might be “must not break under pressure of less than 10,000 PSI”. It is specific criteria that can used to distinguish the operation of a system such as "A bank application should be available 24/7 without sever down".
Functional Requirement
It is specific functions that system must be able to perform It can be documented in various ways. The most common ones are written descriptions in documents, and use cases. Also, functional requirement is what the system supposed to achieve such as "requirement for a milk carton would be “ability to contain fluid without leaking”.
Clearly defined requirements are essential signs on the road that leads to a successful project. They establish a formal agreement between a client and a provider that they are both working to reach the same goal. High-quality, detailed requirements also help mitigate financial risks and keep the project on a schedule.
ReplyDeleteEvery system has requirements and it can be divided into Function Requirements and Non-Function requirements. Function Requirements are the one that the program actually need to do for example in Fibe TV, it needs to allow customers to record live programs. The Non-Function Requirements are the ones which are not a function in our example one would be, load the content in 30 seconds.
